For visitors

Guests ride free but must register on the TBN calendar before the ride; if you haven't registered you may not join. Helmet and front and rear lights required. Not a beginner ride: you should be able to hold about 20 km/h on city streets.

First time on this ride? Here’s the drill
Bring
a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
Arrive
Ten or fifteen minutes before 6:00 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
Expect 16–22 km/h: you can talk the whole way. It splits into pace groups. Pick the slowest one your first time; you can move up next week.

About the Friday Night Ride group ride

Friday Night Ride is a social group ride in Toronto, Canada. It rolls every Friday at 6:00 pm local time from Changes weekly (Oct 2, 2026: Riverdale Park East).

The Toronto Bicycling Network's social Friday evening ride: festivals, the waterfront, Toronto Island, the Distillery District, the Brick Works. 20 to 35 km at a relaxed pace with regroups, and most riders stay for food and a drink after. Starts move each week.
