For visitors

The club's Meetup post calls the C-Group a good ride for a strong cyclist to try the group out. Sign the ride waiver on the club's site. The start is the Marina Dr lot, not the Eldorado Park library lot, until the construction ends (club notice dated May 2026).

Bring
a helmet, water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
Arrive
Ten or fifteen minutes before the meet time. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
The easiest pace the host lists is 10–15 mph: you can talk the whole way. It splits into pace groups. Pick the slowest one your first time; you can move up next week.

About the Lightning Velo Saturday Ride group ride

Lightning Velo Saturday Ride is a road group ride in Long Beach, CA. It rolls every Saturday at 7:30 am from Marina Dr parking lot (temporary start during Studebaker Rd construction).

Road club with four groups rolling every Saturday morning, and Sunday too. A and B groups hold 19 to 23+ mph; B and C are no-drop double pacelines; the D group is for newer road riders and covers skills and rules of the road. Rides end at a coffee shop in Seal Beach.
