For visitors

To get route sheets you must be a member on the weekly announcement list. Visitors and trial riders email the club president first (Contact page on the club site). Helmets and the club's ride-safety rules apply; riders under 18 must ride with a parent. The Oct 3 start is 8:00 am in the Sept 28 announcement, while the schedule page lists 8:30 am from Oct 1, so check the weekly post.

Bring
a helmet, water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
Arrive
Ten or fifteen minutes before 8:00 am. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
The easiest pace the host lists is 12–14 mph: relaxed, with time to talk. It splits into pace groups. Pick the slowest one your first time; you can move up next week.

About the Saturday Rides (Conejo Valley Cyclists) group ride

Saturday Rides (Conejo Valley Cyclists) is a road group ride in Westlake Village, CA. It rolls every Saturday at 8:00 am from The Landing parking lot.

The club's big Saturday ride, rolling from The Landing in Westlake Village toward the Santa Monica Mountains and the coast. Five groups pick their own route and speed, from a 20-mile no-drop Mellow Yellow loop to 50 to 60 miles with a lot of climbing. Each week's routes are posted on RideWithGPS.
