First time on this ride? Here’s the drill
- Bring
- a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
- Arrive
- Ten or fifteen minutes before 6:30 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- Casual, no-drop. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.
- Check
- Look at @ridesafepdx the day of — that's where cancellations, weather calls and start changes get posted.

About the Ride Safe PDX Thursdays group ride
Ride Safe PDX Thursdays is a social group ride in Portland, OR. It rolls every Thursday at 6:30 pm from Colonel Summers Park.
A weekly queer-led social ride. Theme, route and playlist change each week. Every ride has a store stop, leaders who help with mechanicals, and a code of conduct. First Thursday of the month is a masked ride.
