For visitors

Front and rear lights are required. No store stop, so bring snacks and water. Any bike that cruises at about 10 mph for an hour is fine. Check the air quality on smoky days.

First time on this ride? Here’s the drill
Bring
a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
Arrive
Ten or fifteen minutes before the meet time. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
Expect 10 mph: you can talk the whole way. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.
Check

I do the miles. You decide who they’re for.

In 2027 I ride 10,000 miles, all on the bike, every one of them for queer communities. You pledge a few cents a mile and pick which org it goes to. It starts January 1.
