Ten or fifteen minutes before 8:00 am. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.

Expect 16.5–18 mph: brisk — you'll want some fitness. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

About the Forest City Cycling Saturday Morning Ride group ride

Forest City Cycling Saturday Morning Ride is a road group ride in Portland, ME. It rolls every Saturday at 8:00 am from Radio Tower parking lot, behind 15 Baxter Blvd (next to Back Cove Hannaford).

An inclusive, moderately paced, no-drop road ride of 35 to 65 miles on a different route each week. The club calls it the Sunday drive of the weekly schedule. It is good training for charity rides and a way into group riding.

In 2027 I ride 10,000 miles, all on the bike, every one of them for queer communities. You pledge a few cents a mile and pick which org it goes to. It starts January 1.
