For visitors

Club rides are members-only for insurance. To try one, buy a one-time $10 Club Day Pass from Ontario Cycling (credited back if you join) and contact the club's Group Riding Director at rides@ottawabicycleclub.ca first. Register for a ride on obcrides.ca before the cut-off (Oct 4 closes Oct 3, 5:00 pm). Route and start are emailed the evening before.

Arrive
Ten or fifteen minutes before the meet time. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
Pace groups by speed and distance, set by who shows up with a ride leader; the fastest groups are performance-focused. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

The Ottawa Bicycle Club's Sunday road ride. Riders sign up on the club's ride calendar and split into groups of 6 to 12 by speed and distance, each with a ride leader. Starts move around the city each week. The club's rule is no-drop unless a ride says otherwise.
