Arrive
Ten or fifteen minutes before the start time. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
The easiest pace the host lists is 12–16 mph: steady — you'll breathe hard on the hills. It splits into pace groups. Pick the slowest one your first time; you can move up next week.

About the OutCycling Weekend Training Series group ride

OutCycling Weekend Training Series is a road group ride in New York, NY. Schedule: Saturdays in two blocks: a spring series and a fall series (fall 2026: seven weekends, Sep 19 – Nov 7).

OutCycling is New York's LGBTQ+ cycling club. The training series builds distance week by week, with a lead and a sweep on every ride. Routes head to Westchester, New Jersey and Connecticut, with bakery and orchard stops. Sign-up is through the club's Spond group.
