- a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
- Arrive
- Ten or fifteen minutes before the meet time. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- No-drop. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.
- Check

About the Fixie Friday group ride
Fixie Friday is a fixed gear group ride in Minneapolis, MN. It rolls every Friday at 7:00 pm from Behind Bars Bicycle Shop.
Fixed gear only. Meets at Behind Bars in Northeast and does a different thing each week: lake laps, river laps, parking-ramp crits, a costume night. Helmet and lights. Each week's route goes up on the shop's Instagram.
