- Bring
- a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
- Arrive
- Ten or fifteen minutes before 6:00 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- Expect 14–16 mph on average: steady — you'll breathe hard on the hills. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

A casual, no-drop evening ride through Sunnyvale and Mesquite from the Poteet High School lot. About 30 to 32 miles at 14 to 16 mph with one rest stop. Leaves at 6 pm and is back around 8:15.
