First time on this ride? Here’s the drill
Bring
a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
Arrive
Ten or fifteen minutes before the meet time. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
The easiest pace the host lists is 12–16 mph: steady — you'll breathe hard on the hills. It splits into pace groups. Pick the slowest one your first time; you can move up next week.
Check
Look at the host's website the day of — that's where cancellations, weather calls and start changes get posted.

About the GABA El Tour de Tucson Training Rides group ride

GABA El Tour de Tucson Training Rides is a series of road training rides in Tucson, AZ. It rolls every Sunday at 6:45 am from Safeway at Golf Links and Wilmot.

GABA's 11-week build for El Tour de Tucson in November. Two ride leaders run a faster B group and a moderate C/C+ group, with occasional regroups, and the route gets about 10% longer each week. Good for anyone in town training for El Tour.

In 2027 I ride 10,000 miles, all on the bike, every one of them for queer communities. You pledge a few cents a mile and pick which org it goes to. It starts January 1.
