- Ten or fifteen minutes before 5:30 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.

- Mass ride, slow. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

The original Critical Mass, riding since 1992. No one is in charge and everyone is invited. Gather at the Embarcadero at the foot of Market Street on the last Friday and roll with the crowd. Bring your bike.
