For visitors

A helmet is required. Bring a flat pack (spare tube, levers, patch kit, CO2, multi-tool), water, snacks and ID. Each group has a leader and a sweep. The page does not say whether guests need a PAA membership; ask through the WoW contact on the club site.

Ten or fifteen minutes before the start time. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
The easiest pace the host lists is 12–13 mph: you can talk the whole way. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

Women on Wheels is the PAA's women's group, with monthly no-drop road rides in the San Gabriel Valley and around Los Angeles. The group meets on the last Sunday of the month at a place posted ahead, then splits into an Intermediate and an Advanced group. Each group has a leader and a sweep. Open to women of all ages and skill levels.
