Any bike you can ride on rough roads works for the gravel ride. Bring a helmet and front and rear lights, since dark falls before 8 pm in fall. Winter turns it into a fat bike ride. Check the Freewheel Strava club the day of for cancellations.

- Ten or fifteen minutes before 6:30 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- Expect 10–15 mph: you can talk the whole way. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.
