- Bring
- a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
- Arrive
- Ten or fifteen minutes before 6:00 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- Expect 10–12 mph: you can talk the whole way. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

About the Mad Town Mondays group ride
Mad Town Mondays is a social and road group ride in Madison, WI. It rolls every Monday at 6:00 pm from Orton Park.
Madison's Monday party-pace ride. Usually an 18-mile loop out to the Lake Waubesa boardwalk, or a 12-mile Lake Monona loop when weather or daylight is short. About once a month in summer there is a longer 30–40 mile ride. Routes post to Instagram a few days ahead. Post-ride hangs most weeks. Bring lights.
