- a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
- Arrive
- Ten or fifteen minutes before 5:30 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- The easiest pace the host lists is 12–13 mph: you can talk the whole way. It splits into pace groups. Pick the slowest one your first time; you can move up next week.
- Check

About the KBC Monday Night Ride group ride
KBC Monday Night Ride is a road group ride in Kalamazoo, MI. It rolls every Monday at 5:30 pm from Texas Drive Park.
