For visitors

Membership is $50 a year. The club's new-rider page says to come on a Saturday for a first ride and how to pick a group. It does not say whether guests can ride before joining, so ask the club (info@spacecitycycling.club) first. Rides can be cancelled for wind, rain or cold.

a helmet, water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
Arrive
Ten or fifteen minutes before 7:30 am. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
The easiest pace the host lists is 15–16 mph: steady — you'll breathe hard on the hills. It splits into pace groups. Pick the slowest one your first time; you can move up next week.
Check

Space City Cycling Club Weekly Rides is a road group ride in Houston, TX. It rolls mondays and Wednesdays and Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30 am from Trek Bicycle Clear Lake.

A Clear Lake club that has ridden since 1979, starting from Trek Bicycle Clear Lake. Rides roll at 7:30 am five days a week. Saturday has the most groups, from a 15-16 mph cruiser group to the 25+ mph Warps. Groups form at the start and leave fastest first.
