- a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
- Arrive
- Ten or fifteen minutes before the meet time. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- Expect under 13 mph: you can talk the whole way. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

An LGBTQ+ social ride open to everyone, allies included. Social hour at Varsity Bar at 7, roll out at 7:30, a different bar or restaurant as the midpoint each week. Social pace, 13 mph max, 20 miles tops. No spandex required.
