Bring
a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
Arrive
Ten or fifteen minutes before 6:00 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
The easiest pace the host lists is 16–18 mph: brisk — you'll want some fitness. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

About the Thursday Night Riders group ride

Thursday Night Riders is a road group ride in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. It rolls every Thursday at 6:00 pm from Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center, lower parking lot.

The same route to Rock Spring every week, ridden a little faster to build strength. Two no-drop groups go out, with a store stop at the Circle K. It is just over the Georgia line, about 20 minutes from downtown Chattanooga.

In 2027 I ride 10,000 miles, all on the bike, every one of them for queer communities. You pledge a few cents a mile and pick which org it goes to. It starts January 1.
