Arrive early; the start is sharp. The club suggests downloading the route to your GPS if you doubt you can hold the pace. The club's winter route (35 miles) is used from the time change until the Tuesday after daylight saving time begins; lights needed for the dark months.

a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.

Ten or fifteen minutes before 6:30 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
The easiest pace the host lists is 17–18 mph: brisk — you'll want some fitness. It splits into pace groups. Pick the slowest one your first time; you can move up next week.

About the Tuesday Tap-Out group ride

Tuesday Tap-Out is a road group ride in East Point, GA. It rolls every Tuesday at 6:30 pm from Regions Bank.

MACC's weekly Tuesday night road ride out of East Point, about 29 miles on the club's route with A and B groups and several regroup spots. In the standard-time months the club swaps in a 35-mile winter route toward Palmetto. A good first club ride if you can hold 17 mph.
