About the Church of the High Pines Sunday Ride group ride

Church of the High Pines Sunday Ride is a road and social group ride in Durango, CO. It rolls every Sunday at 10:00 am from Bread (daylight-saving-time start; winter start is the Home Depot lot on the south edge of Durango).

A Sunday standard in Durango for years: a social road ride that is no-drop for at least the first three-quarters, then gets a little spicy. Local pros use it as a recovery spin. The summer route goes north up the Animas Valley and over Old Shalona Hill, with a regroup there; the winter route goes down CR213 to Bondad.

I do the miles. You decide who they’re for.

In 2027 I ride 10,000 miles, all on the bike, every one of them for queer communities. You pledge a few cents a mile and pick which org it goes to. It starts January 1.
