- Bring
- a helmet, water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
- Arrive
- Ten or fifteen minutes before 8:00 am. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- Expect 13–14 mph on average: steady — you'll breathe hard on the hills. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

An 'Explore Dallas' Sunday ride with a new route every week, 30 to 35 miles at 13 to 14 mph. No drops intended, but the host says it is not for beginners and you should hold 15 to 16 mph on the flat. Lunch at a local restaurant afterward if you want it.
