- Bring
- a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
- Arrive
- Ten or fifteen minutes before 6:30 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- Expect 13 mph on average: you can talk the whole way. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

GDB Downtown Gelato Ride is a road group ride in Dallas, TX. It rolls every Thursday at 6:30 pm from Behind the Starbucks at the SW corner of Forest Ln and Central Expy.
An evening loop to downtown Dallas and back through Park Cities, SMU, Turtle Creek, the West End, Deep Ellum and Swiss Avenue, with a gelato stop on Greenville Ave. About 30 miles, gentle hills, no drops. Park behind the Starbucks at Forest and Central.
