Helmet required; non-members submit the liability waiver. Lights highly encouraged, plus flat repair gear and the downloaded route. OSU Research Forests prohibit e-bikes. Comfort on grades over 10 percent helps.

a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
Arrive
Ten or fifteen minutes before 6:00 pm. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
Pace
Expect 10–12 mph on average: you can talk the whole way. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.

About the MVBC Wednesday Night Gravel Ride group ride

MVBC Wednesday Night Gravel Ride is a gravel group ride in Corvallis, OR. It rolls every Wednesday at 6:00 pm from Osborn Aquatic Center.

A no-drop mixed-surface night ride into McDonald Forest, with the evening view from Dimple Hill and a return via Oak Creek and the Midge Cramer path. The club rates it moderate to fast and aimed at a confident gravel rider.
