- a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
- Arrive
- Ten or fifteen minutes before the meet time. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- Race-like, very challenging. It's a drop ride: if you can't hold the pace, you'll finish alone. Fine if you know your speed. Not a first ride.
- Check
- Look at their Facebook page the day of — that's where cancellations, weather calls and start changes get posted.

About the Wednesday Worlds group ride
Wednesday Worlds is a road group ride in Augusta, GA. It rolls every Wednesday at 6:10 pm from Outspokin' Bicycles.
Augusta's fast Wednesday ride. Race pace, and you can get dropped. Route is posted on the shop's Instagram or Facebook by noon each Wednesday. In winter the shop swaps it for an indoor trainer session.
