- Bring
- a helmet, front and rear lights (it's a dark-hours ride), water, a spare tube or patch kit, a way to pay for the stop.
- Arrive
- Ten or fifteen minutes before the meet time. Tell whoever's leading that you're new.
- Pace
- Social, conversational, with gather-up stops. It's no-drop: if you fall off the back, someone waits. That's the point of a group ride.
- Check

About the Bear's Community Ride group ride
Bear's Community Ride is a social and e-bikes welcome group ride in Asheville, NC. It rolls every Wednesday at 6:30 pm from Bear's Smokehouse BBQ.
A weekly city ride run by Asheville on Bikes. Staff support each ride and routes are posted ahead of time. Planned gather-up spots keep the group together. Good for people new to riding in traffic. E-bikes welcome. Bring a helmet, lights and water, and sign the waiver.
